Rosenfeld Fall Clean Up

WASTE DROP-OFF

Tues, October 15th - Sat, October 19th
8:00 am - 4:00 pm

This year, the fall cleanup will be held at the Altona/Rhineland Landfill. The Landfill is located 3 miles south of Rosenfeld along Hwy 30, 1.5 miles east on Road 10NW.  


All residents are encouraged to bring their extra garbage to the Landfill on their own. Please remember that all loads must be covered and secured

The normal Tuesday curbside pickup will be happening like normal during this week. There is a 2-bag maximum, and they must be less than 50 lbs each. Extra bag tags are available to purchase at the Rhineland Office in Altona for $2/bag.

WASTE DIVERSION LOOP

The following items are accepted at the landfill’s waste diversion loop, for FREE, year-round

  • mattresses & box springs
  • scrap metal
  • propane tanks
  • tires
  • automobile oil
  • oil filters
  • consumer DEF Containers (4L)
  • used cooking oil
  • branches & yard waste
  • rubber tires
  • car batteries
  • large metal appliances such as fridge, freezer, washing machines, etc. (dishwashers are NOT a free item)

The following items are  NOT accepted at the landfill but can be dropped off at the locations listed:

  • Old/dried paint/paint cans, fluorescent bulbs and ballasts, & aerosol cans may be dropped off at the Altona Co-op Lumber yard in the back.
  • Batteries smaller than a car battery may be dropped off of Blue Sky Opportunities.
  • Toner/printer ink cartridge may be dropped off at Staples in Winkler.

General garbage not included in the above lists may be brought to the Landfill for free for residents of Rosenfeld during the dates listed. Renovation, construction waste and shingles are excluded from the fall cleanup If you are dropping off those items, you will need to pay the appropriate fees.
