Position: Public Works Seasonal Worker
Duration: Full-time (40 hours/week) from May to August
Location: Plum Coulee/Rosenfeld and Gretna
Reports to: Public Works Foreman

  • Watering flowers
  • Pruning trees & bushes
  • Storm drain maintenance
  • Sidewalk construction
  • Landscaping, General maintenance


  • Experience operating equipment such as riding mowers, weed whackers, etc.


  • Valid driver’s license
  • CSA-approved footwear
  • Between the ages of 15-29 years old
  • Criminal record check

Description: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Public Works team for a full-time term position from the beginning of May to the end of August. As a Public Works Laborer, you will assist in various tasks related to municipal maintenance and beautification. Reporting to the Public Works Foreman, you will be responsible for tasks such as cutting grass, watering flowers, pruning trees and bushes, storm drain maintenance, sidewalk construction, landscaping, and general maintenance.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, CSA-approved footwear, and be between the ages of 15 and 29 years old, per youth employment funding requirements. Previous experience operating equipment such as riding mowers, weed whackers, and other landscaping tools is an asset. Additionally, all applicants must undergo a criminal record check.
